Vassal-  A vassal was a freeman that held land from a Lord.



Bailiff-  A Bailiff managed the manor.



Reeve-  A reeve was a manor offical choosen by the Lord or elected by the peasants.



Serf-  A serf was another name for peasant.  They worked on the lords land for about three days each week.



Villiein-  A villiein was a agricultural worker.



Cottager-  A cottager was a low class peasant who had little or no land and who worked as a simple labourer.



​Servant- Servants did all the chores in the manor house.
